The Middletown Arts Center Invites the Public to Create Puzzle Piece Art During The Puzzle Installation & Collaborative Project and Fundraiser: Thousands of Artists & Non-Artists Alike Share Their Personal Stories of Life & Love Through Art

Reception: Saturday, February 5, 2011, 6:00 -10:00 p.m. Puzzle-Making Workshops: February 5, 26, March 19, and April 9, 2:00-4:00 p.m.

Middletown, NJ (January 17th, 2011) — The Middletown Arts Center (MAC) will exhibit The Puzzle Installation and Collaborative Project, an art installation of thousands of 24″ x 24″ puzzle pieces made in diverse media by artists and non-artists of all ages from across the county. Coordinated by artist Tim Kelly through a series of “Art is Good” puzzle making workshops and individual submissions of puzzle pieces, the installation is expected to grow to over 5,000 pieces.

Surf Taco sponsored local musician and artist Quincy Mumford is going to be releasing his  third studio album.  Check out his website for more information and tour dates.  Keep a lookout for shows at your local Surf Taco.

Surf Taco will be doing a fundraiser for Officer Marles on February 2, 2011.  Print out a flyer come in for a meal and 20% of the total proceeds will be donated to the Marles family.

Starting January 7th through the 14th Surf Taco will be donating 20% of all sales (pre-tax) from any guest who brings in a LADACIN Network flyer.  The flyer is available at www.surftaco.com.  Gather some friends, print out a flyer and come EAT TACOS!

On Saturday, November 13, 2010 all Surf Taco locations will be hosting a fundraiser for the Pfc. Vincent M. Frassetto Memorial Scholarship Fund.  Pfc. Vincent M. Frassetto grew up in Silverton, but was killed in Al Anbar province in Iraq on September 7, 2006.  His family has created a scholarship in his name that gets awarded to one Toms River North student each year.

Surf Taco welcomes Pepper with specials guest Brother Ali and Pour Habit to the Starland Ballroom on Saturday October 16, 2010.  Pepper was formed in Kailua-Kona on the Big Island of Hawaii in 1997.  Their music is a mix of rock and mellow island rhythm, listen to it here.  Their new album “Stitches” is due out October 12, 2010!
